Mini Book Album Ideas & More

Welcome Show Me St.Louis viewers!

Today I shared ideas for making mini albums that don't have to be too daunting and overwhelming to tackle! It's very easy as well when you work with products from a line such as the new Making Memories Great Escape! I love their products!!

Here's some additional photos from the Destination Album

And the product information:

3L SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES EZ Dots, EZ Runner Permanent Tape, 3D Foam Squares

* Select your photos to work with for the album. Keeping in mind when working with a smaller sized album photos 4 by 6 in size and smaller tend to work best. With a larger album you have more freedom to use photos 4 by 6 and larger. Smaller albums are nice..as they offer a quick approach to completion. Look for albums that allow expansion as often more items need to be added in as you complete the project.

* To make album cover, trim the Transparency paper to fit over cover of album. Adhere to cover use EZ Dots. Add paper, flowers and embellishments to cover. Print small 3 by 3 photo to adhere on the inside of the album. Add decorative letters.

* For your pages…remember to keep the focus on your pictures. Mixing and matching papers and embellishments to best suit the photos and themes. If you work within one product manufacturer, such as Making Memories, you’ll find that many of the products work well from other collections. So sit down and go through your supplies first before you start. Many a project has been made and afterward the supplies that I should of used have been found. So it’s always good to go through everything first.

* For other album consider albums that allow you to slide in your photos. Add journaling and details to photo openings to make preserving your family memories a snap!

* And if you’re looking for a special item to hold your momentos that are a bit larger…consider a cigar box that you can decorate to match your albums.

  2. my favorite vacation is my most recent vacation. We went to Hampton Beach and stayed in a beach house on the beach. The weather wasn't perfect but we had a great time anyway. For staycations, we go visit family. Over the 4th we stayed with my cousins and our kids played together. It was perfect, too.

  3. Our favorite vacation spots are Daytona Beach and Charleston. Last year we got the chance to stay at Middleton Place Inn, right on the Plantation outside of Charleston, where The Patriot was filmed and it was the most peaceful place. We can't wait to go back for a long stay.

  4. Great mini album. I love creating them for my vacations. My favorite vacation was one I took to Seattle, Vancouver, and Victoria. We went to each location and was gone for about a week. Each place was fantastic.

I love your mini book. I love how you used the same design on most of your pages. It really does make the photos front and center. Wonderful job!

  5. We are leaving for Florida next Saturday! This will be the first "real" vacation we have all taken as a family. My hubby is always working and never wants to go! I am very excited! My favorite past vacation is when my girls and I went to Hawaii when my brother was stationed there. It was great because we were able to stay with him and see the "best" sights!

  6. Of course the best vacations are to Disney for the children. But I will always remember my dream vacation to Ireland. It made me feel like I had gone home!

My favorite vacations have been the ones to Riviera Maya in Mexico. The resort makes it easy to do or not do anything. Second place is local Rehoboth Beach, DE we have done this boardwalk inspired vacation the past 2 yrs.

  14. I just found your blog and it instantly made me happy with all the colors and tropical theme :) I know the contest is over, but my fav vay-cay was a cruise in 2005 with my little brother and 7 of his high school senior boys on spring break. My parents took them and my sister and I. (I didn't know at the time it was the last family vacation we would have together as he was taken from us 6 months later in a car accident.) Yes, def. my favorite. :)
